Ink, Sweat and Tears Week 1 Recap!

Ink, Sweat and Tears had an AMAZING launch week!

For those of you just tuning in, two weeks ago, I made an announcement that I’m starting up a blog and weekly newsletter to showcase webcomics from all over the world and the response has been mind-blowing. As of now, I have a queue of over 30 webcomic creators waiting to be interviewed, and I’m waiting on completed interview surveys from another 8. In addition, I’ve got 5 completed interviews under my belt, some of which have already been published online.

While looking through my new catalogue of future features, I realized something: there are a LOT of amazing webcomics out there that deserve way more recognition than they’ve gotten thus far! I’m so happy to be able to give these comics and creators the spotlight they deserve.

Here’s a recap of last week:

Tips for Creators #1: The Creator Bio – While talking to various creators, I noticed some of them didn’t have the basics covered in terms of how to talk about themselves or their projects. I wrote an article on how to write a quick, simple creator bio and why it’s important to have one! Stay tuned as I’ll be writing more articles like this, in addition to conducting interviews 🙂

Arena Gunslinger – A spaghetti western with a twist, written and illustrated by The Strangerous. Clocking in at a whopping 194 pages, Arena Gunslinger is a completed comic full of action, gun tricks, camp, drama and billions of meticulously hatched lines.

Garage Band is written by JasonD and illustrated by various artists. It’s the story of 3 dysfunctional teenagers in a punk band, constantly bickering with each other and trying to savor every moment of fun they can get their paws on before the inevitable happens: adulthood.

Grinders$ is a NSFW comic by Lirvilas who hails from the woods of Wisconsin. Donna Panks can sell anything, but when management threatens to run the company into the ground, will she wind up back where she started, slinging lattes in a bikini? Only one thing can be sure: trouble is brewing!

As always, Ink, Sweat and Tears is a free service that I provide to help signal boost webcomic creators. I conjured everything up with what little free time I have. If you like what I do, why not buy me a ko-fi or help keep the site running through Patreon?
